Acrobot by Daniel Simu. First time on stage!
This video is from the very first time the Acrobot v3 appeared on stage. I was hosting a show and was able to test the Acrobot there.
Recorded in November 2023 at the Nuremberg Juggling Convention.
Thanks to Matthias Romir and Melli Auernhammer for organising this.
The Acrobot is a project by Daniel Simu, supported by V2_ Lab for Unstable Media and Circusstad Rotterdam. For more info: acrobot.nl

    • @DanielSimu
      @DanielSimu Місяць тому

      A 3d scan will not be accurate enough, but it is possible to measure and draw it. However, this will quickly get expensive, and possibly risky as I don't know if other parts are near failure too. Luckily there are other motors that have all the kinks worked out, see my video about Cubemars motor modules

    • @DanielSimu
      @DanielSimu Місяць тому

      You will need to calculate how much torque you require from the motors. These motors typically have about 25Nm torque. Weight influences torque, but so does the length of the lever and the angle, etc.

    That set of terminals with the intermittent contact is for parking the wipers. Did you notice when you stop the wipers they always go back to the home or park position, where the wiper blades are in the home position.
